The Real American Donut Company, Inc., a part of Max’s Group, has been awarded the development deal for the franchise. About Krispy Kreme in the Philippines
Vernon Rudolph obtained a secret yeast doughnut recipe from a New Orleans French cook and began selling Krispy Kreme doughnuts on July 13, 1937, to local grocery stores. Passersby stopped to buy hot doughnuts when they smelled them frying. So he cut a hole in a wall and started selling doughnuts on the sidewalk.
Krispy Kreme established its first Philippine outlet at Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, on November 30, 2006. Now, Krispy Kreme Philippines has over 100 stores nationwide.
