Best Chicken On Max’s Restaurant Menu
Max’s signature fried chicken, with its light and crispy golden skin and juicy, tender meat bursting with the flavor of secret spices, has been part of many Filipino families’ get-togethers for well over 70 years. The dip, a combination of banana ketchup and Worcestershire sauce, is a perfect complement to the chicken’s succulence.
The fried chicken on Max’s menu is not only a hit with generations of Filipinos; it’s beginning to shine internationally as well. In fact, award-winning American food writer Jonathan Gold has singled it out as one of his favorite Asian fried chicken dishes.

Max’s Group Meals
Max’s offers a variety of group meals that can feed anywhere from four to up to twenty people. Some of these meals are available for delivery, including two versions of Our Best Delivery Bundle.
In addition to the best-selling fried chicken, these bundles on Max’s Restaurant menu also include dishes like sizzling tofu, pancit canton, and buko pandan. Both delivery bundles come with servings of plain rice and a large bottle of soda.
Max’s three set meals are likewise ideal for group food dates. Each set comes in two versions: one accommodates parties of five while the other is good for groups of ten diners. Dishes in these sets can include all-time Filipino favorites such as pancit bihon, chop suey, lumpiang shanghai, kare-kare, lechon kawali, beef, caldereta, boneless bangus, buko pandan, and of course, Max’s fried chicken.

About Max’s Chicken
It all started with Stanford-educated teacher Maximo Gimenez at his home in Quezon City in 1945 right after World War II. Encouraged by friends among American soldiers stationed in the city, he opened a café where they could enjoy home-cooked food and relax over drinks which would later become the Max’s menu we all love today. Ruby Trota, his niece and the café’s kitchen manager, came up with a fried chicken recipe that the soldiers—and Filipino neighbors—loved.
Today, Max’s Restaurant is still a family-run business, being managed by the third generation of Trotas. Max’s Group, the parent company, started welcoming franchisers in 1998 and went public in 2014. It also operates several other popular restaurant brands throughout the country. There are more than 100 Max’s Restaurant stores in the Philippines, several locations in the USA and Canada, and plans to expand into Australia and the Middle East.
One thing can be certain, as long at the Max’s menu continue to serve the tasty food you see today, they’ll be around for a long time to come.
