About Contis Cake Philippines
Sisters Cecille Maranon, Carole Sumulong, and Angie Martinez launched a small food business they called Conti’s—after their maiden name, Conti—in BF Homes in Parañaque City in 1997. Word of the restaurant’s outstanding food quality, generous servings, and excellent customer service spread, and the business became a huge success.
In 2018, Udenna Corp., headed by Davao-based businessman Dennis Uy, acquired 70 percent of Conti’s Bakeshop and Restaurant—the remaining 30 percent still belongs to the founding sisters. The chain counts 20 branches in various communities around Metro Manila, and following the acquisition, there are plans to double the number of stores and redesign them to further increase efficiency.
In May 2021, Contis opened their first drive-thru Take Out Nook in Anabu, Imus! Truly a great development from Contis.
