Botejyu Best Sellers
All-Star Takoyaki
Botejyu serves some of the greatest takoyaki in the metro, and if you can’t decide between their many delicious flavors, try the All-star Takoyaki. This Instagram-worthy platter includes six different sauces and tastes to complement the fluffy center and crispy outside of these ball-shaped treats: umami sauce and mayo, tomato sauce, fiery mentai mayo, rich, spicy sauce, and salt and garlic sauce.
Okonomiyaki and Okosabe
Okonomiyaki at Botejyu, the restaurant’s signature dish, is wholesome and unique because of the freshest cabbage and other vegetables that are folded into the house batter.
Among all the okos, the Premium Moonlight Oko is the one we suggest you go with. It’s packed with meat and richness yet manages to keep its light, airy texture on the interior.
Okosabe is a cross between okonomiyaki and yakisoba, so if you’re daring, give it a go. Because of the noodles, you can count on this dish being heartier. You should get the Beef and Negi Okosoba if you opt for this option.
Pork Paitan Ramen with Char Siu
Botejyu is best known as an okonomiyaki and okosoba powerhouse, so its ramen will come as quite a shock to first-time visitors. However, their ramen is wonderful, from the velvety broth to the chewy noodles. Variety, taste, and texture were all amplified by adding the delicate char-siu and perfectly cooked tamago.

Rice Bowl Selections
Botejyu has specialties revolving around rice. The Grilled BBQ Pork Rice Bowl Hokkaido Style is an excellent main course since it provides a variety of healthy vegetables together with the delicious charred pork. If you’re feeling really hungry, we recommend the Amiyaki Grilled Pork Rice Bowl, which has Japanese rice, salad, and grilled pork in a sweet and satisfying sauce.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does Botejyu mean?
Unfortunately, you won’t see the delicious term “Botejyu” in any Japanese dictionary. The reason for this is because Botejyu is a clever portmanteau of “Bote” (the sound made by a freshly flipped okonomiyaki) and “Jyu” (the pleasant sizzle sound made by the food while it cooks on the teppan grill).
Does Botejyu offer set meals?
Yes, Botejyu offers meal packages for three and four people. These sets often include ramen, a rice bowl, various sides like yakitori or sushi, rice, and drinks.
About Botejyu in the Philippines
The origin of Okonomiyaki in Botejyu may be traced back to 1946 in Tamade, Osaka, when Japan was still reeling from the effects of the war. Using the readily accessible American flour, Botejyu’s Eikichi Nishino created okonomiyaki and served it with mayonnaise. Mayonnaise is often used to top okonomiyaki, but Botejyu pioneered this technique.
The modernyaki, also known as okosoba, emerged in Japan during significant economic expansion. Okosoba, which combined okonomiyaki with yakisoba, was one of several innovative dishes Botejyu introduced to the market to satisfy consumers’ cravings.
After more than seventy years in business, every Botejyu location throughout Japan, Singapore, Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, and Thailand continues to serve traditional Japanese cuisine. Botejyu opened its doors to Filipino foodies in July 2016 at its Mall of Asia Branch. Now, at least 60 Botejyu branches serve Japanese goodness across the Philippines.
